Specialised Training Athens

Thank you Elder Wu for getting this picture to us, my camera does not have a timer facility so he kindly set his camera up. Just click on it to enlarge the picture and see those happy faces. I guarantee that you will be smiling as well. These are amazing missionaries, we are truly blessed to serve alongside them.

After the YSA Meeting.

We had a treat of ice-cream and freshly made fruit juices. I had the most wonderful combination of lemon and a mango sorbet, then a fruit juice of orange and pineapple. It was made all the better for sharing it with loved ones.

Fun at the Centre.

We played a getting to know you game in which we were all different ingredients that made up a tortilla wrap. We then had to find others and gather a group to make up a tortilla wrap. Sister Mower had prepared a delicious meal of tacos and spicy rice, a salad and tasty sweet. A wonderful evening.

YSA at Acropoli Branch.

Our dearest friends David and Lesley Bridgstock and David and Wendy Scarlett came to visit. Here they are at the Centre for Young Adults. They were the main speakers for the evening and they touched our hearts with their testimonies and music. The night before we enjoyed their words at a Couples Meeting in the mission home.

Thank you for posting these Elder and Sister Kennedy. It is such a treat to look upon beloved people who have served in the Greece Athens Mission. We look forward to being with you once again, but please remember you are forever in our hearts. Your work goes on here in Greece and in Cyprus, the legacy you left is eternal.

The Team in Cyprus.

They are all so beautiful to behold, their sweet smiles and their bright spirits are a joy and a wonder. We came away with great hope, for great things to come to pass in this part of the Lord's Vineyard. With such willing workers, filled with faith, we need not fear.

Happy Birthday!

Xronia Polla! We sang the Greek happy birthday song to Elder Neville. It talks about white hair and wisdom, hence the look of consternation. He is obviously a giving person, as he immediately opened the pack to share with everyone.

Nicosia, Cyprus.

We had just arrived for a training meeting and were met by this great quartet. Singing, and even marching to Onward Christian Soldiers. It was such a treat and it certainly revived my spirit. Thank you Elders, this is one of those moments that is captured in my heart and recorded in my journal.

Acropoli Relief Society.

Sister Mavromatis, a long time member of the Acropoli Branch, loves to have a photo taken of the sisters in Relief Society. She loves the branch and is anxious that these pictorial records are there for people to see and remember.

Still Smiling!

This was taken at the end of specialised training. We have had lots of instruction, and much to think about, and much to do. Yet there is always time to gather as 'Sisters in Zion'.

Happy Birthday!

Time to sing to President Freestone, who is a counsellor in the Mission Presidency, and Elder Yates who is one of the Zone Leaders in Athens. Xronia Polla!

Too Many Cooks? Never!

Elder and Sister Davis, and Elder and Sister Mower have worked hard to provide the meal for our specialised training day. Their smiles are beautiful and they serve with such willingness and humility. We are truly blessed in the Greece Athens Mission to work alongside such great ones as these.

Scenes From September Specialised Training.

Role playing, talking of prayer, the scriptures, families, baptism, The Title of liberty and so much more. We felt the Spirit and are ready, with the Lord's help, to bring to pass much good in this next transfer.
