We Rejoice in the Baptism of Ernest.

It was a joy to attend the Baptism of Ernest Gyarbeng on Saturday 18th February 2012 at the Halandri Chapel. Ernest was baptised by Elder Loynes and confirmed the following day by Elder Mower. Elder Woodger gave a wonderful talk, and speaking directly to Ernest, he said, " Ernest as you kneel in prayer, Heavenly Father will tell you what He feels about your decision today. He loves you"

Elder and Sister Willis from Albania.

Elder and Sister Willis are from England who are currently serving as the humanitarian couple in Albania. They are visiting Athens to help us find possible sources for charitable services.
It was wonderful to find out that they knew dear family and friends from back home. They send their love to Ray and Lesley Cave who are the parents of our darling son-in-law Stuart. They also remembered with fondness our friends Keith and Carol Brook. It was lovely to hear them reminisce.

Elders Gibbons and Wilderspin With Barry.

Elders Gibbons and Wilderspin gave a presentation on tracking people to the temple. Barry was an investigator who was taught, and then they were transferred. It came across that each soul is precious and must not be forgotten. They shared 1 Nephi 18:3 "And I, Nephi did go into the mount oft, and I did pray oft unto the Lord: Wherefore the Lord showed unto me great things"

Christ is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

Elders Greciano and Yates taught us that as we recognise our weakness, we can in humility, with prayers and daily sacrifice, finish the course. We can do this through strength received from our Saviour.

Role Play

President Charles reminded us that as we go about sharing the gospel, we should remember that the Lord is with us every step of the way. This is His work, and we represent Him. He will stand with us in the face of opposition and will be our strength.

Elder Smith Preparing The Way.

Elder Smith trying to explain something while having to keep his hands in his pocket. He was preparing the way for President Charles who talked about the value of role playing versus just talking.

Happy Birthday!

We sang to those who had birthdays in February and also from back in December. Apologies for the December ones, we had watched the 17 Miracles film for our Christmas party, it was so moving and heart wrenching that we all just tidied up and left the building.

The Assistants' Presentation.

We had a wonderful time be taught by Elders Held and Antonopoulos about being a Preach My Gospel Missionary. Seeking the will of the Father was a recurring theme, to be unwearying in seeking His will, not ours.

The Stars Have To Eat!

Filming can be quite exhausting, so some soup is required to revive the stars of the show. Oops! Sorry about the big saucepan on the table.

Happy Times.

From left to right we have Elder and Sister Maxwell, Elder and Sister Davis, Elder and Sister Clark, Elder and Sister Collier, Elder and Sister Mower and President and Sister Charles. We were filmed by Elder Mower extolling the virtues of serving a mission in our senior years. This film will be sent to our own home Stake in Crawley.

You've Gotta Pick a Pocket Or Two....

Elder Mower can be seen with his hands in his pockets. He had to explain picking a pocket without using his hands. President Charles then showed us a clip from the musical Oliver, when Fagin 'role plays' with the other boys, to show Oliver how to pick a pocket. He then spoke about the value in our missionary efforts of remembering to role play every day.
