Happy Birthday!
Elder and Sister Clark had prepared a lovely birthday surprise. Sister Elks and I were the recipients of their love and kindness.
Elder and Sister Kopischke in Athens.
Elder and Sister Kopischke came to see us for our exit interview from the mission. We visited Mars Hill and Elder Kopischke contacted Alberto, from Albania {top left} who now lives in Athens. After a short discussion he agreed to speak to the missionaries. Elder Kopischke explained that his son would be serving a mission here, and would arrive in September and would love to meet him. Alberto seemed very happy with this plan. We also met church members Andrew and his daughter Bethany from Rochdale. Bethany has such a pure sweet spirit, it was a joy to meet them.
The Baptism of Eustathios
Eustathios was baptised on June 2 2012 by Elder Stevens, who taught him the gospel along with Elder Leit. Eustathios positively glowed as he came back into the chapel, his face reflecting the joy that he felt.
The Baptism of George Acquah.
George was taught the Gospel by Elders Leit and Stevens and baptised on Saturday 2 June 2012 by President Sankoh. It is always a time of rejoicing for us to witness such a scared moment.
The Baptism of Pervez.
Pervez was introduced to the church by his friend Brother Maqsood, and then taught by Elders Smith and Baret. He was baptised by President Sankoh of the Acropoli Branch. It was beautiful to see Pervez dip back into the clear water of the baptismal font, and then rise up into the light
