The Baptism of Tity Mansaray 18th. December 2010..
Tity who is from Sierra Leone was baptised by Elder Psota today. Elder Balhorn and recently baptised member Isaac acted as witnesses. Brother Ibrahim Kamara a very new convert gave a talk on Baptism, and Elder Balhorn spoke about the Holy Ghost. What joy to be a part of such a glorious moment, it never fails to bring back the spirit of my own baptism. Smiles are exchanged as we look around and rejoice within our hearts. Welcome Tity to the fold.
Choir Practice and Packages from Home
Elder Wells is leading a missionary choir in practice, they will sing for a combined Branch Christmas Party at the Acropoli Branch. Elder Psota is seen opening one of the many Christmas packages that are winging their way from all over Europe and the USA. He very kindly shared a Swiss chocolate with me, yummy is the only word. I fear Cadbury's is now a close second.

Elder Woodger gets the Apron.
Elder Woodger was determined to get the apron and his determination won the day! The writing on it says Kiss the Cook. Elder Cook is standing next to him, no kissing at this party!!!
Missionary Christmas Party.
We played the white elephant game with a little twist. Elder Muurling had organised this, it was so funny lots of swapping presents and places. I had coveted a back scratcher as did President Sorensen. Neither of us ended up with it! Elder Steeby was very gallant and gave me the one that he had won. Thank you Elder Steeby!
Companionship Study.
We had the opportunity to visit with Sisters Frohlich and Gallagher in their lovely apartment in Nicosia. We had the most wonderful companionship study which was conducted for the most part in Greek. Dress is casual because it is preparation day.We felt a spirit of peace as we sat with them. They are so full of life and love for the Lord's work.
You have a Birthday Shout Hooray!
Elders Kennedy, Fairbanks, Woodger, Cook and not forgetting Elder Loynes had the birthday song and treat this Zone Conference. Thank you Elder Loynes for that very 'special' pose. Well done Elder Lauener you almost made it into every picture!
The other side of the room.
This side look every bit as lovely as the other side. It was a great conference, and a number of times we felt the Spirit descend to testify of the truthfulness of things spoken. How wonderful it is to sit with these great missionaries and feel of their love for the Saviour and His work.
