Smiles All Round!
Elder Rahal gave a powerful talk on Baptism reminding us that the Saviour's name should be engraven on our hearts. Rajesh spoke on the Holy Ghost. He told us that the Holy Ghost will lead us to the ultimate happiness, that is -a life with God. Elder Walker baptised Brother Romail. It was so touching to watch this sacred moment because Elder Walker was so tender and compassionate in his administrations.
Baptism of Kamran Romail 23rd July 2011.
Brother Kamran was first contacted by Elder Yates and Stevens. After transfers Elders Antonopoulos and Rahal, and Elders Held and Walker were involved in his teaching.
Let the Games Commence!
Bowling, tying knots, eating crackers, sucking up the ping pong balls, and so much more. President Charles is representing Cyprus and managed to win 2 bronze medals. Well done to everyone who took part and helped to organise the evening.
Mini Olympics at Centre for Young Adults Nicosia.
We had such a fabulous evening as people represented their countries in a Mini Olympics. Amongst some of the countries taking part were Scotland, Nepal, Cyprus, America, Nigeria, Guinea and China. We even had an award ceremony at the end with China scooping up most of the medals. Great Fun!
Rajesh Joins the Team.
Rajesh will be working with us on a mini mission with a view to going on a full time mission. Rajesh joined the church 10 months ago and when he bears testimony it flows like pure sparkling water. Elders Cook and Stevens are pretending that the camera is nowhere in sight-so natural Elders!
Don't They Love the Camera!
Elder Walker is quick on his feet. He dashed from one side of the room to the other in super quick time. I didn't notice till I came to blog.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to Elders Baake, Kopischke and Stevens. They are wise beyond their years. How blessed we are to serve with them.
Elders Kopischke and Mossner in Nicosia.
Elders Mossner and Kopischke are the Zone Leaders in Cyprus. They lead with faith, humility and courage. They stood to share one of the experiences they had with a new investigator of truth. They told us that miracles are there just waiting for us. These two Elders have eyes to see and hearts to feel the tender mercies of the Lord.
Do You Trust Me Elder Cook?
Elder Loynes gave us a visual display of trust as he persuaded Elder Cook to just fall back. He was talking about Faith and the Holy Ghost, explaining that we needed to trust and let go .
Lunchtime!
Thank you so much to Elder and Sister Maxwell for a most enjoyable lunch. We had a delicious lasagne and salad, and a scrumptious banoffee pie for pudding. Elders Loynes and Stulen look as if they are ready to dive in and demolish the lot!
The Cyprus West District.
From left to right we have Elders Cook, Stevens, Norgaard, Smith,Kopischke,Mossner, and Elder and Sister Maxwell. Elder Norgaard spoke about how we can be examples at all times and said, " God uses us even when we don't know it".
Role Playing in Nicosia Cyprus.
I had a lovely time in the Cyprus West District Meeting. They talk of miracles, they work for miracles, and they experience miracles. I am humbled in their presence because they are the miracles!
Language Class Begins!
Elder Stulen and Elder Loynes teaching some of the senior missionaries the joy of the Greek language.

Family Time!
We had such a wonderful time getting to know the Androutsos family. They are such an open and genuine people whom we took to immediately. These are some of the relatives of Elder and Sister Andros who are serving as the Mission Office couple. It was really great to be part of this family get together. We hope to meet them next time in the family village of Tarsos.
President and Sister Freestone.
After meetings I found President and Sister Freestone tucked away in a classroom. There was a spirit of quiet industry that I am sorry to say I disturbed. Not too sorry, because I got this lovely picture. They have been here only a short time, but very quicky have settled into our hearts.
The Stars of the Show!
They say, 'an army marches on it's stomach'; well this royal army of missionaries marches full of strength today because of Elder and Sister Davis. Thank you Elder and Sister Davis for providing such wholesome and tasty food, and for doing it so lovingly and frequently.
